Baked Apples

Directions: Cut the core out of an apple. Fill the hole with brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Wrap the apple in tinfoil and bake in the coals of the fire. Eat the sticky mess with a spoon.

For a non-tinfoil version... take an apple and stab it onto a long, sturdy stick. Peel or nibble off the apple peel. Roast the apple over the fire. When all bubbly and hot, roll the apple (still on the stick!) in a bowl of brown sugar. Eat the layer of cooked apple/meltey brown sugar right off the stick. If the inside of the apple is still uncooked, stick it back over the fire to roast a second time... and roll it in sugar a second time... and a third... and a fourth... as necessary. This will keep your girls occupied for a long time, and there's no dishes to clean up!
