Coffee Cake
This recipe is from the Great Camp Woolsey Cookbook,
courtesy of the Ottawa Area Girl Guides.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups biscuit mix
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 1/2 cup milk or water
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions: Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar with the biscuit mix
and combine this with the margarine by blending with fork until mixture
resembles a coarse meal (raisins are optional). Blend in enough of the liquid to
make a soft dough. Pour this into a greased pan, and sprinkle the top with the
rest of the sugar and the cinnamon. Bake in a tinfoil oven for 20-30 minutes or
in a conventional oven at 350 F for 15-20 minutes. Serves 6.
