Apple Dumplings
Thanks to Barb Robinson, who shared this recipe with
me from her Guiding Gourmet session at CM'99 Manitoba.
Ingredients:
1 cup biscuit mix
1 egg beaten
¼ cup milk
¼ cup brown sugar
apples sliced ¼" thick
Sauce:
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups water
¼ cup butter
Equipment:
Mixing bowl
Mixing spoon
Measuring Cups
Pot with lid
Fondue forks
Cutting Board
Instructions:
In a large bowl, beat egg, brown sugar and milk. Stir egg mixture into
biscuit mix and blend well. In large pot, combine sauce ingredients, heat
to boil. Dip apples into batter, add to simmering sauce. Cover and
simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes. Pick out with fondue fork and
eat!
