Bread Pudding
This recipe is from the Great Camp Woolsey Cookbook,
courtesy of the Ottawa Area Girl Guides.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 3 cups scalded milk
- 1/4 cup melted margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup raisins
Directions: Put the bread crumbs in a pan and pour scalded
milk over it. When cool, stir in all the other ingredients. Bake slowly,
uncovered for about 1 hour. Let the top get crispy. Bread pudding can be varied
by adding fruit, nuts chocolate, etc., to the mix.
