Hot Pot Recipes
Thanks very much to Joan Beitman, who sent these
ideas to me!
Basic recipe (serves 12):
- 3 lb. of hamburger
- 2-3 chopped onions
- 1-2 chopped green peppers
- 2 cans condensed, undiluted tomato soup
- salt and pepper
Combine all ingredients in a pot after browning the meat,
and let it simmer!
Variations:
- Hunter Stew: add 4 10oz. cans of vegetable soup,
diluted
- American Chop Suey: add 4 14 3/4 oz. cans of
spaghetti
- Spanish Rice: add 1 14 oz. package of pre-cooked
rice
- Macbeef: add 1 1lb. of cooked macaroni noodles
- Chilli: add 4 151/2 oz. cans of kidney beans and chilli
powder
- Yaki Special: add 4 14 oz cans of spaghetti and 2
17oz. canned peas
- Squaw Corn: add 2 17oz. cans of corn and 1/2 lbs.
of diced cheese
- Hungarian Hot Pot: add 4 16 oz. cans of baked
beans
