Packs Up!
I learned this game while I was working at Scanlon Creek Conservation Area.
Game: Split your group into partners. In each pair, one person (usually the larger) becomes the coureur de bois (runner of the woods), and the other (usually the smaller of the two) becomes the pack. Have the coureur de bois form a large circle, facing inwards. Each "pack" stands directly behind their coureur de bois. The leader of the game yells, "one, two, three, packs up!". The pack-players then jump up onto their coureur de bois's backs, piggy-back style, and are held there for as long as possible. Then the leader of the game yells, "one, two, three, packs down!". The packs jump off their partner's backs, run one clockwise circuit around the outside of the circle, and jump back up onto their partner's back again. The last pair to complete the maneuver is eliminated from the game.
