Home Sweet Home Game

Thanks very much to Wendy Baker, who created this game with a little help from a Lady BP Award Training Tips Package from 1999. Thanks for sharing!

Props: Make a fabric (30 inches x 40 inches) game board and draw a house on it that has a path winding through it. On the first floor: Room #1 - Food/Sundries, #2 - Telephone/Communications, #3 - Water, #4 - Heat/Light. On the second floor: #5 - Rent/Mortgage, #6 - Income. On the third floor: #7 - Maintenance, #8 - Medical, #9 - Entertainment. In the attic: #10 - vehicle/transportation, #11 - Education. On the chimney: #12 - Clothing. You will also need two dice, a place marker for each girl, and sets of cards as follows.

Playing the Game: Each girl has a marker, and rolls the dice to moves a number of squares on the board corresponding to her roll. She answers a question for the room she lands in and keeps the card. The girls must collect a card from each of the 12 categories to win the game. To move the game along more quickly, if they land on one they already have, they can roll again or move to the closest number they need. The answers are all very easy and all based on the Pathfinder program.
