Family Feud

Thank you very much to Anja Coates, who posted this game to the Guiding Mailing List, and to her friend Rosie, who made up this game!

This game is modelled on the old Family Feud game who which used to be on TV.

Materials:

Divide your girls into two teams, with one rep from each team coming up to the bell. The hostess reads a question, and the first player to know an answer rings the bell (you have to be quick about it!). If her answer is the most popular response to that question, e.g.. the number one answer, her team gets to play first. If she doesn't get the number one answer, the other team goes first.

In this example, say team #1 got to go first. Each team member has a chance to give an answer in turn to the question. If the answer is on the board, it is revealed. If that team misses 3 answers in a row, the other team gets a turn. The team with the most correct answers wins that round, and they're off to round 2.

As for the questions, you have to ask questions where there are more than one answer. WAGGGS would be a good example:

e.g.: Name 5 things that all WAGGGS members have in common.

You decide that the top 5 answers are:

1) Trefoil
2) Three-fold Promise
3) Left Handshake
4) Uniform
5) Motto.

If team#1 says Trefoil, then they go first and try to guess the remaining four answers.
