cardboard:
- The alphabet minus Q,X and Z (23 letters)
- Extra letters: 3 B; 3 C; 4 A; 4 O; 4 E; 5 L; 4 N;
(27 letters)
Print the following names on a large piece of newsprint
of card board. These are the names that will be made during the game.
- OLAVE BADEN POWELL
- ROBERT BADEN POWELL
- CRYSTAL PALACE
- AGNES BADEN POWELL
- BROWNSEA ISLAND
- SCOUTING FOR BOYS
- ST CATHARINES
To Play:
Players sit in patrols in a large circle. Post the list
of names to be made where all can see. Put the letters in a pile in the middle
of the circle. The Leader reads a question. The first person to answer correctly
takes any letter to start spelling whichever name her patrol chooses. Continue
reading the questions. Letters can be taken from the pile, or if the needed
letter is gone, a player can take it from the patrol which has it. Continue
until one patrol has completed a name from the list.
