Brownie Princess Enrolment

Props:
- Chair for each Brownie decorated with glitter garland
- Mirror for each Brownie
- Crowns for each Brownie
- Fairy Godmother with fairy wand
The Brownies to be enrolled are all sitting in a semi-circle on their chairs with their mirrors and crowns. As the story is read, they do actions, such as looking in mirror, fluffing their hair, looking bored, looking excited with Fairy Godmother appears.
Story: Once upon a time, there were ____princesses (number same as number of girls being enrolled. They sat around all day on their special chairs looking pretty and doing nothing…..all day long.
They checked out their hair in their mirrors to make sure that they had not messed it up…..doing nothing…..all day long.
They made sure that their crowns were not tilted to the right…….doing nothing…..all day long.
They made sure that their crowns were not tilted to the left……doing nothing….all day long.
They were bored…..doing nothing…..all day long.
One day, they overhead a story about Brownies….little people, just like them who did good deeds for others……all day long.
They too wanted to be just like these Brownies…..they were tired of being princesses…..doing nothing…..all day long.
They wanted to run and play…..all day long just like Brownies do.
They wanted to skip and sing songs…..all day long just like Brownies do.
They called for their Fairy Godmother and said……how can we become Brownies? We are tired of being princesses…..doing nothing….all day long.
The Fairy Godmother said, "Come with me to the toadstool and I will make you into Brownies. In Brownieland, there is a special place where Brownies come to be enrolled. Bring your mirrors with you and I will make them into a special pond."
The other Brownies all appeared around the pond and each Princess took part in a special ceremony to become Brownies.
The Fairy Godmother said, Twist me and turn me and show me the elf, " And the princesses looked in the mirror and there saw themselves... as Brownies! Who could do good deeds and help others everyday, instead of sitting on their chairs and doing nothing…all day long.
The Fairy Godmother then takes the new Brownies one at a time to the Commissioner and says: “This is _________________, who wishes to become a Brownie."
The Commissioner then says: “Your wish is my command. All you have to do is say your Promise and a Brownie you will become." (puts on pin) "I trust you to always keep your Promise as shiny as your enrolment pin."
