Guide-to-Pathfinder Advancement Ceremony (v.1)
Here's another great advancement idea from Wendy
Baker.
As Guides go to Pathfinders they are handed items that
they will need to become Pathfinders by the Pathfinder Guider or the
Pathfinders:
- 1. Guider says: Halt who goes there?
- 2. Guide says: We're Guides who want to be
Pathfinders
- 3. Guider says: You will need this bag to carry your
stuff (use $1.00 cloth bags)
- 4. Guider gives girl mirror saying "You will
need this to put your make up on at camp.
- 5. Guider gives the girl a coat hanger. "You
will need this to keep your uniform neat and tidy!"
- 6. Guider gives each girl a bag of chips "You
will need this for the munchies!"
- 7. Guider gives year girl a comb. you will need this
to keep your hair styled at camp because their are no blow driers.
- 8. Guider gives each girl a passport or a badge
"You are now prepared for Pathfinders. Turn around and say Good Bye to
the Guides and welcome to the wonderful world of Pathfinders."
