Campfire and Song Resources in Print

This list of songbooks includes all the books I have in my personal collection. Many of the songs found on my website can also be found in one or more of the books listed here. Many of my books are very old and were passed down to me from my mother and my grandmother, who were also Guiders. Some of the books I own are now out of print; however, there may be newer editions available in the stores. Book titles marked with asterisks (**) are the ones I find the most useful. If you're searching for songbooks of your own, I definitely recommend you try to add these titles to your own collection.

And while we're on the subject... hunting down good songbooks can be quite a challenge! (In fact, that's one of the chief reasons I think my website's been so popular - it's really hard to find the words to our most cherished camp songs.) I have had my greatest success in three different places. First, try your local Girl Guide or Scout shop. They often have collections of recent songbooks. Secondly, check out any folklore bookstores or used bookstores in your area. And finally, garage sales and antique flea markets are where I have found some of my greatest treasures.
