Joy in the Morning
- The morning star looks in at me,
- A sleepy phoebe chirps at me,
- I do not see, I do not hear,
- I'm still in dreamland till the clear
- Bright sunlight strikes my bed.
- And then my eyes are open wide,
- I burst with energy inside,
- My pleasant dreams have fled.
Who cares for dreams?
- This radiant day
- With work to do, and time for play
- Is mine, is mine!
- I'll make it fun
- From now until the setting sun,
- Its every moment overflowing
- With planning,
- Doing Learning Knowing!
